Dear WGGC members, dear friends,

The “XIV International Symposium on Generalized Convexity and Monotonicity” is now over.
The symposium had 66 participants from 20 different countries. Moreover, the 7 keynote addresses and the 42 talks have also been streamed online via the Microsoft Teams platform.

The symposium, by means of our bylaws, has been also the occasion for the WGGC Scientific Committee to elect the next WGGC chair.

I am very glad to announce you that professor Fabián Flores-Bazán from the university of Concepción (Chile) has been elected chair of the WGGC for the period 2025-2028.
He is a member of the WGGC Scientific Committee since 2006, and I am sure he will guide us in the best way.
I wish to Fabián a very successful and productive term as chair.

Soon, according to our bylaws, you all will be called to vote for the elections of the next Scientific Committee.
The elections will take place within December 2024 and February 2025.

Actually, there is another important task to take care, that is the organization of the next 15th symposium.
To this aim I will send another message to you in the forthcoming days.
